Downloaded Firefox recently and saw this add-on called clipmarks... which got me thinking about restarting my blog.
It allows you to take information/pictures/videos and put them straight into your blog.
Pretty handy for me, as i see all this stuff but i takes ages to copypaste it to my blog. This is one of the main reasons i restarted the ol' blog, and also because i missed it! :D

Rolling Stones on course to top chart

The Rolling Stones are on course to score their first chart-topping album since 1994 with Exile on Main Street.

The current number one album, Keane's EP Night Train, is expected to fall to sixth spot by Sunday.

It is very rare for catalogue re-releases to crown the album chart, according to Music Week magazine.

Its christmas eve, only 1 hour 5 minutes and however many seconds left till christmas...

Tbh christmas has sneaked up on me, it didn't really feel like christmas, even though there's snow on the ground (well slush now).

Despite it being christmas eve, i had another driving lesson. Somehow managed not to crash even though i was going at 40 round a corner with ice on the road! My driving instructor didn't seem very impressed, and suggested that we head back to "prevent a possible accident".

A little anecdote for you there :)

Homelessness Sleep-out

Gah! I really need to post more often!

Well a topic I'm gonna talk about is homelessness...

Me and a couple of friends are sleeping out this thursday night, to try and raise some money for a homeless charity called the Passage Hostel for the Homeless. It should be fun, and will definitely be cold :)

If it goes well and we raise a lot of money, then we're also planning a trip to London, to spend a further couple of days on the streets to raise money and awareness for the problem in todays society known as homelessness.

We're going to document both sleep-out's and send the finished films to a number of television companies, to try and raise more money for homeless people.

With any luck we'll raise a lot of money, and try to have fun while doing it (without freezing to death!)

More information coming very soon! I will definitely by posting more this week, as i miss talking about how great Banksy is!!

Gah! I haven't done a post in a few days!

Well here's some more Banksy artwork cos he's amazing and i agree with who posted on my previous post. Its artwork its supposed to look good, it makes the buildings they're done on, interesting. More people like art than those who don't. Artwork is all around us, and just because one person doesn't like it, doesn't mean 10 other people also don't like it.

Graffiti is usually always bright and slightly cartoonish, so isn't that a good thing if it brightens up a drab grey building? However good graffiti can be it isn't always pleasing to all; like drawing massive genitals isn't really artwork, or is it? Is it not just another way of expressing your views on the world. But the majority of graffiti work is a display of an artists feelings and emotions. The world is an open canvas, is it not right to express your feelings through art?

Surely we should be encouraging artists, not arresting them!

For those who have never heard of Banksy. He is an anonymous graffiti artist, whose artwork spans the globe from England to Israel, and Los Angeles to Paris. His satirical pieces feature mainly on politics, ethics and popular culture. He generally uses stencils to paint most of his work, as it "speeds him up", and "stops him getting arrested as easily."

And basically i think his work his rather awesome!

Question Time

Just watched the latest episode of Question Time, featuring Nick Griffin, Bonnie Greers, Chris Huhne, Sayeeda Warsi, and Jack Straw.

It was rather interesting, and featured heavily on the BNP (British National Party) which is pretty much an British equivalent of the Nazi Party. The leader of their party, Nick Griffin, or as someone "mistakenly" called Dick Griffin, was on the show trying to declare his views on the British Nationalism. He constantly conflicted with arguments he had previously made in the show, he also stated that British people should be white christians. However where exactly was Jesus born? Bethlehem. Which is in what country? Israel. Which is in asia/south east Europe. Griffin also said he wanted Britain to keep its national sovereignty by keeping its self independent of Europe. 80% of Britain's trade is with Europe, and Britain is still in debt of 805 billion pounds.

I read in the news today, that Griffin claims to have been the victim on a lynch mob that had been "ethnically cleansed" and was "no longer British". This then prompted the mayor of London Boris Johnson to say that there was "no place here" for Griffin or the BNP. A member of the audience also pointed out that despite the fact that he was of mixed race, he had been born, raised and educated in Britain, it was his home, he also said that people would probably prefer to see Griffin and the BNP be deported than him. Bonnie Greer (Dep. Chairman of British Museum) stated that "sitting next to him(griffin) was probably the weirdest and most creepy experiences of my life" and she also said that she felt a restrained urge to slap him. But i think she had a just cause seeing as Griffin denied that the Holocaust ever happened, and claimed that if Churchill was alive today, he would be a member of the BNP.

Climate change (CC)... a big problem that we're dealing with in today's society!

Our predecessors never worried about climate change, because it didn't affect them.

But in the last 200 years the human race has developed quickly in terms of industrial and economic power.

What can we do?

We waste so much energy on trivial things, like leaving our phone chargers plugged in when we don't use them much, or leaving computer monitors on. Another example is lighting, in the space of 100 years we've evolved from candles and torches to light-bulbs and huge neon lights that cover skyscrapers. But we leave them on unnecessarily. If you're a person who does use lights a lot, try using environmentally friendly ones. It doesn't cost that much to change your light-bulbs, and not only does it help to combat climate change, but it saves you money on your monthly electricity bill.

We're putting a great amount of pressure on the earth to cope with our advances in technology, and it might not seem to be doing too much damage by leaving a lightbulb on, but imagine all the other people who think its not doing much damage. Everyone leaving light-bulbs on or a phone charger on, is causing our earth big problems.

Volcanoes are erupting more frequently, sea levels are rising, the orbital patterns are being affected. A recent reported indicated that the global surface temperature in the 21st century will rise a further 1.1 to 6.4 degrees C.

Peter's 5 point plan to combat climate change are:

Cut down on wasted energy.
The media should focus less on fashion and more on informing the public on CC
Cut down on expenses on useless or unnecessary things.
Use more public transport or walk or cycle (which helps fitness too)
Fund research and development into recreating the process in fossil fuels are formed, using the large amounts of carbon all around us (CO2)

The horror of Bebo

Ewww. Just went to check my email, and realised i had a notification from the dreaded Bebo.

Bebo is like a cockroach, no matter what you do it never goes away.

I logged into my account to have a lil' look and found that i only have around 80 something friends left, and i have a long list of notification which say that so and so has left bebo.

I thought i had deleted my account, but no its still there, getting random friend invites off random pervy people, people i don't know, and random webcam girls.

I then saw a notice that said "we've made a few changes since your last sign in" and basically its a cheap knock off of the marvelous facebook. Its stolen the friend chat, and made the home page look a little too similar. However despite its best attempts at gaining interest, it stills falls short on the ladder of social networking. It claims that it has 40 million registered users. Note the word registered. It may have 40 million registered users, but nowhere near that many use it, i'd be surprised if even a million people use it frequently, and of that number, i bet that the majority are under 14. Even my 13 year old brother has stopped using it because he says its "lame".

Pirates and Spaghetti!

Pirates and Spaghetti, two awesome things combined in one wikipedia article!

And religion is in there too.

A friend of mine mentioned to me the other day about the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but i didnt really take it in, until i got home, wiki'd it and found out some info!

This is a religion known as flying spaghetti monsterism or pastafarianism, a sneaky play on the well known religion; rastafarianism.

The religion was created in 2005 by Bobby Henderson, as a satirical protest against the Kansas Board of Education.

Little did Henderson know, that his satire would evolve into a religion that hundreds if not thousands follow.

There is also a gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster published March 26th 2006.

Now you may be wondering, well we've had pasta but what about the pirates? Well, according to the belief system of the pastafarian's, pirates are "absolute divine beings" and are like the FSM's disciples.

Contrary to popular belief, they apparently peace lovers, and spreaders of good will, as opposed to the traditional tales of gangs of theives, murderers and outcasts.

Also a decrease in the number of pirates has been linked to global warming. As pirate numbers have slowly dwindled, the temp. of the earth has slowly began to rise.

Ham Radio is a podcast by a friend of mine called Alex. They talk about furbees, flying cats, and bald men. And at the end they answer listener questions, which can be very odd. I have been mentioned in various episodes woo!

Crap i haven't done any new posts in a while!

But I'm not going to moan about GCSE's and other annoying things. I'm going to do a movie review, which will hopefully be one of many reviews. I'm going to try and do at least one every week or two.

Just got back from basingstoke where i watched the new Night at the Museum movie;

After seeing the original film, last week it's pretty easy to review it.

The second film is set a few years after the first film, and Larry's inventions have brought him money and fame. The story-line, is Larry's realisation that he is missing out on everything he loved about his night-guard job. The new characters certainly bring a new touch to the story, but unlike the first film, there are too many new characters, and there isn't a chance to relate to them, with exception to a few new characters, the focus is still on the old characters. Also the majority of the film is set over one evening, so the new characters cannot develop their personalities. Characters like Octavius, and Jedediah return, but sadly so too does Ricky Gervais in his poorly acted role as the museum's curator. Hank Azaria (from Friends) plays the antagonist kahmunrah, and leads his reign of terror alongside Al Capone, Ivan the Terrible, and Napoleon Bonaparte, but declines the might of Darth Vader, and Oscar the Grouch. Azaria plays Kahmunrah with a voice, that can make everyone laugh, which basically sums up the film; a humorous film. But also a family film, which is full of slapstick jokes, and monkey slapping.

I would give it a 8/10, it loses marks for a basic story line, and because it has Ricky Gervais failing to act well.

I finally worked out the answer and

to be honest its pretty easy!

It depends on what you believe...

Whether you believe in Creationism,

or Evolutionism.

If you believe in creationism, then

God made all animals and plants,

so he made chickens,

which then mated and made eggs.

So if you believe in creationism

then chickens were first.

But if you believe in Darwin's

theory of evolution, then the

egg came first.

This is because the predecessor

of the chicken slowly evolved

through generations, and ended

up with what we call a chicken.

And to create this modern day

chicken he would have to have been

born, and chickens are born in eggs.

So if you believe in evolutionism then

the egg came first.

Wow, starting a blog for the first time... its an interesting experience, knowing that hopefully somewhere around the world people are reading your blog about you and your life. I'm not sure what gave me the idea to start a blog... I've always known about bloggers but never expected to become one, some of my friends are bloggers and they host podcasts.

So... Where do I begin?

Well...

My name's Peter, I'm from Hampshire, England... Which for those who aren't aware of places in England, is a county about an hours train ride into London... Im 16 years old, and I'm currently preparing for my GCSE's. 11 subjects. Not sure how many exams that is, something like 20, but in the short space of a month and a half.

My interests...? I love music, its plays a vital role in my life, it is my favourite hobby, the only one i do every day. I can pretty much say i enjoy all types of music... Rock... Alternative... Metal... Indie... Hip Hop... Punk... Rap... Well not so much Rap but there are a few songs i like.

Right now that, that's over i can start by talking about stuff....

What did i do today?

Well, i was woken by the sound of the Prodigy blasting through my speakers at 7 in the morning, as i had forgotten to turn off my alarm clock now that I'm on study leave. Got up, had some cereal, did 2 hours history revision. I then realised that i was still covered in pen ink, from my mad last day at school yesterday, furiously scrubbed at it for 5 minutes, with no success, decided no-one would notice, grabbed my phone and wallet, and headed for the train station. Got to fleet station and met up with Kit, although i don't announce it very often, i would class him as one of my best friends, i've known him for 6 or 7 years. We then took the train to Basingstoke, with the aim to get some summer clothes for the holidays. We spent three hours there, i saw a few people i knew including my ex-boss, and some of my brothers friends. After we were finished, we headed for the station, Kit had done well and had bought an entire outfit, whereas i had managed to buy two drinks for 50p. On arriving at the station we saw another group of people we knew, one was from Kits cadet group, and the others from my old school. We said hi, and took the train back with them. After an interesting conversation, we arrived back in fleet, and me and kit began the long 20 minute walk back home. I arrived home, and immediately engaged in an argument with my brother, as he had taken my bright green shoe laces from my room without asking, and then lied and said they were his! After he stormed off, i did another shot of revision but this time i did 2 hours of Business Studies, which is the dullest subject i do, and the teacher barely taught us anything in the 2 year course. Instead we spent 2 years, doodling in our textbooks, anything from drawing massive genitals to turning men into women in an elaborate fashion. After the revision and my dinner i came upstairs onto the computer and here i am.

If anyone has any suggestions/questions you need answering or ideas that i can include feel free to leave them, or if you want just leave a comment saying what you thought.
